Why do we celebrate Juneteenth?
Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day, Emancipation Day, or America’s Second Independence Day, marks the abolition of slavery in the United States following the Civil War. Many Americans have been celebrating it annually for almost a century, even though the holiday was not formally added to the national calendar until 2021.
HAPPY JUNETEENTH!
CHEERS TO THE ABOLISHMENT OF SLAVERY!
